OMNIS™/LB

OMNIS™/LB is a Lattice Boltzmann based CFD solution, complementing NUMECA’s existing CFD line-up.

It has been developed by NUMRI (Numerical Research and Innovation, a NUMECA company) and FlowKit in an exclusive partnership around the industrial exploitation of the Lattice Boltzmann code PALABOS.

This new product OMNIS™/LB from NUMECA is an integrated version of the Open source code PALABOS, in a monolithic enhanced configuration, with​ a large range of​ functionalities. Specifically, it is capable of handling highly complex geometries on a mesoscopic scale without the hassle of having to set-up and fine-tune a mesh, as is the case for traditional CFD solutions. Due to its extremely efficient parallelization, the turnaround time is comparable to, or even faster than, Navier-Stokes based LES simulations.

The ​OMNIS™/LB product is being extended by the partners towards a large variety of industrial applications and processes, within the highly user friendly platform OMNIS™​ from NUMECA.​
